Who We Are

Central Net Training Center

Central Net Training Center opened in 1972. It was built by several agencies working together to create a place for fire training and emergency communications.

Today, the training center is owned and operated by the cities of Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach through a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) called the Central Net Operations Authority.

Our goal is to provide high-quality training that helps firefighters and emergency responders build their skills and do their jobs safely and effectively.

The training center is used for fire and emergency medical training, fire academies, promotional testing, and graduation ceremonies.

The training center features:

  • A five-story burn tower

  • Forcible entry training props

  • Ventilation training props

  • Auto extrication training areas

  • A two-story residential and multi-family training structure

  • A drafting pit

  • Multiple classrooms

  • A conference room
